| The ViaJura passes through the valleys of
the Birs and Schüss, from Basel via Delsberg
to Biel. It touches upon important historic
stretches, including the Glögglifels
Pass that is rife with legend, the exposed
Mont Raimeux and the Roman rock gateway
of Pierre Pertuis. The course of the
ViaJura is marked by wide plains, narrow,
rocky Klusen and the Jura heights with
spectacular views. Idyllic parks and natural
reserves, beautiful old cities and archaeological
remains dot the route, which passes
through numerous stretches of great historic
