This route is an excellent example of how the perfectly signposted routes of switzerlandmobility
can be combined now, thanks to the extensive service offers of SwissTrails, into new,
attractive trekking tours. The trek begins in the heart of the city of Lucerne, and runs initially
over the Sonnenberg towards Malters and then along the Jakobsweg to the pilgrimage
spot of Werthenstein.
The Napf, with its sensational panoramic view of the Alps and the Jura is the next stage
destination. Trubschachen represents Emmental in its uncorrupted form, with its typical
Settlements of farmhouse, «Stöckli» and Spycher. With Rämisgummen, Pfyffer and Wachthubel
come the splendid peaks with views and the route runs past the Schrattenflue,
Kemmeriboden, through the high moors from Salwideli and into the biosphere conservation
park at Entlebuch. A panoramic stretch runs from Sörenberg across Glaubenbielen and
Glaubenberg to the «climax» of the tour: Mount Pilatus (2119), high over the city of Lucerne. |
