RHONE ROUTE |
 |
Also called the «Wine Route», the trail is almost always flat but with head winds at times
– rated easy, ideal for everybody including families with children. Combining the alpine
scenery of the Rhone Glacier near Oberwald with the lush valley of the Rhone in the Valais
and the famous «Swiss Côte d'Azur» along the Lake of Geneva, the route ends up in the
international metropolis of Geneva.

|
RHINE ROUTE |
|
The start of the elevation profile of the Rhine Route is a real challenge. From the Oberalp
Pass and the Surselva alpine district follows the spectacular panoramic stretch through the
wildly romantic Rhine Gorge. Crossing the Bündner Herrschaft wine region involves a jaunty
up-and-down trail. From Bad Ragaz the route generally follows the River Rhine and Lake
Constance, and until Schaffhausen and Basel there are no great climbs to speak of. Our
hotels at Disentis, Walzenhausen, Berlingen, Schaffhausen and Rheinfelden are all extraordinary.

|
NORTH-SOUTH
ROUTE |
|
The classic route to Southern Switzerland – with the Lake of Lucerne, the Gotthard Pass and
the Lago Maggiore as highlights – rated intermediate, ideal also for sporty families with
older children. With regard to the elevation profile the North to South route presents medium-
level challenges and once the Jura Ridge has been surmounted lovely level stretches
in the Suhren Valley and along Lake Lucerne follow.

ALPINE PANORAMA
ROUTE |
|
This route is the «King of Kings» in Veloland Switzerland! Between Lake Constance and
Lake Geneva the Alpine Panorama Route takes you up to 2'000 meters above sea level and
crosses several major and minor mountain passes. This is the only long-distance cycling
route in the Veloland Switzerland network that is paved the entire way and so you can also
do it on a racing bike. A real treat for the sporty cyclist!

|
MITTELLAND ROUTE |
|
Lakes, rivers, wide open plains and tranquil valleys; cities and villages; industry and agriculture;
nature and technology; storks and Solothurn; Lake Biel and high moors, German and
French speaking: these are some of the contrasting dabs of colour on the palette that compose
the picture of a typical trip through Switzerland.

Graubünden-Route + INN CYCLE ROUTE +
DANUBE CYCLE ROUTE |
 |
Follow the Inn from Oberengadin to the
Olympic City of Innsbruck and on through
the Austrian-Bavarian border lands to
Passau. The legendary Danube cycle path
begins here – the world’s most frequently
used long-distance cycle path. Arriving in
Vienna by bike is a wonderful experience.
The trail then runs on through Györ and
Esztergom to the Hungarian lowlands and
on to Budapest. Of course, you can also
book each stretch separately – and gradually
inch ever closer to the end destination of
Budapest with each holiday. It goes without
saying that the route follows the rivers
throughout and is therefore pleasant and
flat. There are just a few slight inclines to
deal with in Engadin.

|
JURA ROUTE |
|
The Jura region stretches its wave-like features all the way from Basel to Lake Geneva;
enigmatic landscapes off the beaten track captivate every traveller. Whenever you think of
the Jura you think of bright pine forests, solitary high plateaus, neighing horses, sensational
views and luxury watchmakers...

|
AARE ROUTE |
|
The classic tour in Veloland Switzerland. Ride along the banks of the River Aare and you will
encounter a chunk of Switzerland that has maintained its provincial charm, nostalgic farm
life and unadulterated nature up to the present day. In addition it offers the full range of
lodgings in hotels, youth hostels, in the hay or camp sites grounds with both Power and
Relax options. Bike and Electrobike (NEW!) rental.
|
|
LAKES ROUTE |
|
The Lakes Route is aptly named because from its start in Vevey on Lake Geneva in the south,
the route skirts 16 lakes before reaching its destination at Lake Constance in the north.
|
|
| AROUND LAKE CONSTANCE |
|
For our German neighbours, Lake Constance represents the south, the mild climate, wine,
joie de vivre and bathing. This is one reason why the Lake Constance cycle path attracts the
second largest number of tourists in Europe, after the Danube cycle path. There are two
options of exploring this cycle path. The attractive town of Konstanz serves as the attractive
start and end point (can be reached by direct train from Zürich). The route mostly follows the
lake and is flat, unless you choose to take a detour to explore the surrounding countryside.

| RACING BIKE
ALPINE PASSES TOUR |
|
|
The Land of Cycling consists of 9 national and numerous regional routes. SwissTrails has
brought together some of the most attractive routes through the Alps to form a spectacular
round trip for racing bikes which is unique in Europe: the asphalted and signposted route
comprises eight Alpine passes (of which five are over 2000m above sea level).

| TANDEM TOUR
3 LAKES REGION |
|
|
«A pleasure shared is a pleasured doubled?» Hop onto a tandem with your partner and try
it for yourself. You won’t regret it!
Tandem cycling is a harmonious experience – you are sure to reach your destination with a
sense of well-being if you share the journey with a partner. The landscapes of the three
lakes region are equally harmonious: the national and regional cycle routes pass through
this cosy Grosse Moos area and pass around the Murtensee, Neuenburgersee and Bielersee
lakes.
