The classic tour in Veloland Switzerland. Ride along the banks of the River Aare and you will

Gletsch in the midst of high mountains is actually the official start of the Aare Route, but
the river has levelled the terrain over millions of years and from Meiringen on there are no
steep climbs worth mentioning – this makes it a joy for cyclists to cross the Bernese Oberland,
the Mittelland, the Three Lakes region and the southern foot of the Jura Mountains.
