GENERELL INFORMATION

In April 2008 the national project «SwitzerlandMobility » was inaugurated offi cially in the presence of international media. A network of 22 national and a large number of regional routes was thus dedicated to the public. These routes are signposted uniformly in the cycling, hiking, mountain biking, skating and canoeing sections, and the website www.switzerlandmobility.ch also gives printable route maps to any desired scale, in addition to a host of other information. A route guide is available in German and French for every route and in English as well for 4 routes. SwissTrails is the contracted ground the operator on behalf of switzerlandmobility for all the 22 national and a growing number of regional routes.

We will require from you the following details:
• The desired travel route and trip variant (e.g. Rhone-Route, Variant A)
• In case of à la carte bookings:
Desired course of the program with stage destinations / dates.

The best way to do this is to use the à la carte reservation forms under www.swisstrails.ch
• Surnames / First names of all the travellers in your group
• In case you are claiming any discounts for children: Dates of birth (D / M / Y) of these children
• Your complete postal address, telephone number (if possible even mobile), e-mail-address.

You can also book your SwissTrails trip through our travel organizers all over the world. You can fi nd the latest list on our website www.swisstrails.ch. We normally confi rm your booking immediately. You will receive the formal confi rmation along with the hotel addresses / invoices within approximately 10 working days following the receipt of your booking. After this, an advance payment of 30% of the tour price will have to be paid within 10 days. The balance amount should be paid 15 days before the start of the journey. Please read our cancellation terms and «General travel conditions and contractual conditions» on Page 122 in this catalogue.

You will receive the following from us:
• Your travel program with the addresses of all the accommodations that you have booked
• Location plans of the accommodations that are not directly on the route
• General information about your trip
• The vouchers: 1 for each accommodation and 1 for each luggage transport and for the bike rental if necessary.
• the offi cial guide book for your route (from the book publisher)
• and in addition to this, our own practical information
• hiking and skating routes: complete map material (not contained in the offi cial route guides!)

The consolidated price is inclusive of 1 dos sier per room. Additional dossiers (for instance, for roommates having different residential addresses) can be obtained for CHF 30.– / dossier.

The to and from plus any transfers are not included in the package rates.For outside of Switzerland visitors, please see the various Swiss Pass rail options. For clients living in Switzerland please review the half-fare tickets.To simplify your land transportation, Swiss Trails offers our min-bus transfers to your fi rst stop and also can pick you up at your last stop. For clients arriving Switzerland with your own vehicle, you can park for free at our Swisstrails bike terminal in Oberweningen, minutes north of the Zurich airport and we can provide roundtrip transfers. Please see page 9 for rates and further transfer details.

We all speak English and are accessible via the telephone number +41 (0)43 422 60 22 from 1st April to 31st October on 7 days a week from 8 in the morning to 8 in the evening. In particular, we will also be available to you in case of urgent questions and problems during your trip, in the evenings after working hours and on weekends.

For trips covering several days: CHF 40.– per booking (regardless of the number of persons travelling). Daily excursions/canoeing, rafting): CHF 20.– per booking. Last minute booking surcharges (within 3-days of trip begin): CHF 30.–. For weekend and day trips no surcharges apply.

Children are welcome on all journeys and at all the lodgings. You can fi nd information about offers for small children under the individual routes in this catalogue. Children are entitled to the following price reductions if accompanied by at least 1 adult.

Trips spanning several days (children up to and including 11 years):
• 30% off all hotel packages
• 10% off all hostel and sleep-in-straw packages
• Day trips 50% off the adult rates

The hotelier has the right to put up the children with discounted rates in the parents' rooms (but is not under obligation to do so), depending on availability. Daily excursions (canoe, rafting; children up to and including 15 years).

In case you are claiming discounts for children, please specify the date of birth (day / month children / year) of your children at the time of booking.

Groups can avail of attractive special offers with SwissTrails:
• From 10 persons onwards group discount of 10% on all the published prices.

SwissTrails is a competent address for you. We are familiar with all routes and suitable accommodations in all price ranges, and we provide our rented cycles (even the e-bikes) at any desired location within Switzerland.
